日本の長野県富士見町の三位一体ベネディクト修道院は、2016年10月8日に公式に閉鎖されました。 セントジョンズ修道院は、1947年東京目黒に聖アンセルモ修道院小教区を設立しました。 ベネディクト修道士は1999年に富士見に移転しました。
Trinity Benedictine Monastery, Fujimi, Japan, is officially closed as of 8 October 2016. Saint John’s Abbey established Saint Anselm’s parish and priory in Meguro, Tokyo, in 1947. The Benedictines moved to Fujimi in 1999.

PRIOR'S LETTER ANNOUNCING EDUCATIONAL TRUST FUND

親愛なる友人の皆様、
1947年に米国ミネソタ州カレッジビルのセント・ジョンズ大修道院によって設立された三位一体ベネディクト修道院は、今年の夏に閉鎖します。私達は富士見高原病院からのお申し出により不動産を売却し、2016年9月にその目的のために提供されます。
残念ではありますが、富士見における私たちの宣教活動は、8月13日以降、終了することをご承知おき下さい。
友人及び協力者の皆様と共に、次の日程で閉鎖に伴う4つの行事を決定しましたので、ご参加下さい。
7月24日（日） 09:30 カトリック富士見教会、感謝のミサ、 レセプション
7月31日（日） 11:30 三位一体ベネディクト修道院、感謝のミサ、ローマン院長司式、共同体、岡谷、諏訪、茅野、甲府地域、 富士見のフィリピン人信徒、食事会
8月11日（木） 12:00 三位一体ベネディクト修道院、感謝のミサ、梅村司教様司式、ジョン・クラッセンOSB大院長、食事会
8月14日（日） 10:00 東京カトリック目黒教会、感謝のミサ、ジョン・クラッセンOSB大院長説教、レセプション
重要なお知らせ
三位一体ベネディクト修道院神学教育基金：70年の間、日本において奉仕する機会を与えられたことに対する感謝として、不動産を売却した資金をもとに、(1) セント・ジョンズ大学神学部 または (2) アジアの神学校において、男女修道者、他宗派の神学生と聖職者の生涯教育を支援するための基金を設立します。アジア人の候補者を優先的に考慮します。セント・ジョンズでの勉学の場合、十分な英語力が必要とされます。お問い合わせ（英語による）： e-mail：TBMedfund@csbsju.edu または郵送： Office of the Abbot, TBM EDUCATION FUND, Saint John’s Abbey, Collegeville, MN, 56321-2015 USA.

Trinity Benedictine Monastery, established by Saint John’s Abbey, Collegeville, Minnesota, USA, in 1947, will be closing this summer. We accepted the offer of the Fujimi Kogen Hospital to purchase the property that will become available for its purposes in September 2016.
Please be aware that our ministries from Fujimi, regrettably, will discontinue after Saturday 13 August.
We have confirmed four closing events with our friends and associates and invite your participation:
Sunday 24 July 9:30: Fujimi Parish Mass of Thanksgiving and reception in the parish church.
Sunday 31 July 11:30: Filipino Faithful of Okaya, Suwa, Chino, Fujimi and Kofu area Mass of Thanksgiving with Prior Roman, presider, and community in the monastery chapel. A luncheon follows.
Thursday 11 August 12:00: Mass of Thanksgiving in the Fujimi monastery chapel with Bishop Umemura presiding, and Abbot John Klassen OSB. A luncheon follows.
Sunday 14 August 10:00: Mass of Thanksgiving at the Meguro Church, Tokyo, with Abbot John Klassen OSB, Saint John’s Abbey, homilist. A reception follows.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR YOUR AWARENESS
TRINITY BENEDICTINE MONASTERY THEOLOGICAL EDUCATION FUND: Out of gratitude for the privilege of serving in Japan for nearly 70 years we are establishing this fund with resources from the sale of the property to support the continuing education of religious women and men, and interfaith seminarians and clergy at (1) Saint John’s University School of Theology or (2) Asian seminaries. Priority consideration is given to Asian applicants. Adequate fluency in English is required at Saint John’s.
