Umodzi Local Development, Malawi

Umodzi Local Development was founded by 2008 SJU alumnus Bryan Vonasek and supports local development and health initiatives in Malawi, Africa, where Bryan was a Peace Corps Worker. The current initiative is a project in Lilongwe City, supporting children with disabilities by training caregivers to provide home-based physical therapy, as well as supporting income-generation and microfinancing to help combat the threat of poverty that often ensues for families whose children have disabilities.
