All Souls Day

All Souls’ Day, Monday, November 2nd, is annually a day to remember our deceased family and friends.  At Saint John’s, the monks invite you and your family for the All Souls’ Day Prayer Service at the cemetery, starting at 11:00 am.

Abbot Douglas Mullin, OSB, will lead the service, including reading aloud the names of those deceased monks, parish members and alumni and friends who have passed away and had burial at Saint John’s since last November 2nd.  There is also a time of quiet reflection for any who would like to speak aloud the names of other departed family members and friends for this day of prayer and remembrance.

11:00 am prayers at the cemetery.
Gathering in the Monastery’s section of the cemetery at the large wood and granite cross
Please join us afterwards in the Abbey Church for mass with the monks at 11:30 am.

In case of extremely poor weather – the prayer service will be held in the Abbey Church.
