Psalm 62: “In you alone is my soul at rest. My help comes from you.”
A friend, a young father (let's call him Rog), takes care of three children most days while his wife, their mother, works as a physician. The children benefit from an energetic and high-spirited dad who almost matches their energy.
Part of their education at the hands of dad is visiting regularly the elderly in a nearby home, particularly one Amelia. Amelia has been bedridden for a long time and on this particular day the staff say she seems comatose, but Rog and the kids feel welcome to stop in.
They go in and make an effort to speak to her but with no response. She indeed seems comatose. Finally they decide to leave and as they approach the door they hear a hoarse voice from the bed say "Thank you for coming."
Psalm 27: “I believe I shall see the Lord’s goodness / in the land of the living.
Wait for the Lord; be strong; / be stouthearted, and wait for the Lord!”
