The fall 2022 issue of Abbey Banner celebrates God’s grace and blessings in our lives as exemplified by the monastic profession of our Brother Travis Spillum and the milestone anniversaries of several other confreres. Abbot John Klassen opens the issue with a reflection on his own golden jubilee. Mr. John Geissler outlines how students and volunteers aid our community in land stewardship as he outlines the creation of pollinator gardens at Saint John’s. Pilgrimage—a search for meaning, purpose, or healing, often accompanied by a journey to a foreign place—has been part of the spirituality of believers of all faiths. Mr. Patrick Martin shares the experience of a pilgrim band walking together to south Minneapolis to promote racial justice.
